2016
I started the vision when I was only 18 years old, 2016. I lived in Melbourne, Victoria at the time, one of the most amazing places I've ever lived. I was on the train on the way home from my 9-7 Membership Consultant job with Fitness First Melbourne Central, I was on the phone to Mum, as I am most days. We came up with the name, quickly checked the business name registry & Diamanté Weddings & Events was born.
2017 onwards
I then moved back to Perth, Western Australia (where I grew up). My uncle was sick & it was better to be around him for his last days.
I continued to work in the industry, I worked 5 different jobs; Waitressing, Event Staff, Event Coordinator, Food & Beverage staff; any role I could get to be in & around the industry.I was offered a Casual Wedding Coordinator Assistant job in 2018 with Sarah at Confetti & Co. My absolute dream, herself & Holly were amazing people to work with & she helped spark my passion for the industry. I asked her, back then, if she could come & coordinate my Wedding for me. 😂I coordinated a Styled Shoot with a beautiful engaged couple, I bought a Wedding dress from an op shop & my photographer volunteered his time for me. It was such a stunning shoot & I was able to have Wedding content to build a website ... a website I changed 450 times because, well, I'm a gemini.
2018
In August 2018 I moved to Brisbane, Queensland. Still chasing my dream to own my own business in Wedding & Event Planning, still tackling the industry & working any job I could get my hands on just to be up close & personal with it all.I was offered a position with a company in the industry, where my long office hours & lack of actual hands on coordination, despite the job title, steered me away from that specific role.
